He winced with pain, reeled, and would have fallen but for the other’s sustaining hand. Fight gleamed in the big man’s eye, and for the breath of an instant he hesitated. A faint sound caught his ear, as of clinking coins and soft voices. People there! He had thought it before, now he was certain. Were not both brothers away?.
